The plant was built with investments totaling US$ 172 million (R$ 500 million) from the Brazilian Petroleum Company, Petrobr\u00e1s.<\/P><br \/> <P>Tr\u00eas Lagoas is the fifth Brazilian thermoelectric plant to utilize Bolivian natural gas. The final installed capacity of the plant will be 350 MW, enough power for the consumption of a city with 1 million inhabitants.
