This total was a historic record for the month of July, according to information supplied today (09) by minister of Agriculture Roberto Rodrigues.<\/P><br \/> <P>The sector trade balance surplus for Brazil was US$ 3.36 billion, or 51.5% more than in July 2003. This was the second best result in the sector since 1989, when the ministry started publishing these statistics.<\/P><br \/> <P>The best sales performances was registered in soy complex sales (grain, ground, and oil), meats, coffee, sugar and alcohol, wood, dairy products, and cotton.<\/P><br \/> <P>In the period from January to July, Brazilian sector export has already generated US$ 22.25 billion, showing a growth of 37.2% as against the same period last year. The accumulated surplus was US$ 19.45 billion, or 44% more than that registered in the first seven months of 2003. Minister Rodrigues believes that the trade balance surplus should exceed US$ 30 billion by the end of the year.<\/P><br \/> <P>In the last 12 months, the sector has already shipped the equivalent to US$ 36.67 billion, and the Brazilian trade balance surplus has accumulated US$ 31.8 billion.<\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shipping generated US$ 3.75 billion in the month, and the trade balance surplus for Brazil was US$ 3.36 billion.
