The event opened on Thursday (23) and is running until November 29 at São Paulo’s Espaço Itaú de Cinema Augusta and Rio de Janeiro’s Espaço Itaú de Cinema Botafogo.<\/p>\nShowing in Rio over the weekend will be Assad Fouladkar’s “Halal Love” (2015), a comedy-drama that tells the interconnected stories of four Muslim men and women as they try to juggle their love lives and desires while avoiding breaking religious rules. <\/p>\n
Another film to be featured in Rio, on Saturday, is “Single, Married, Divorced” (2014), a social comedy directed by Elie Khalifé about four women pushing 40 and struggling with pressure about their being single. <\/p>\n
In São Paulo, documentary “The Lebanese Rocket Society” (2012) is about a space travel project that ran from 1960 to 1966 in Lebanon.<\/p>\n
Also showing in the city, Danielle Arbid’s “Fearless” (2015) is a drama that tells the story of Lina, a 17-year-old Lebanese girl who moves into Paris to attend school, and this enables her to find herself and build self-confidence. <\/p>\n
