Brasília – Net job creation was negative by 12,292 in Brazil last November, a 0.03% drop over October. The information is from the General Register of Employed and Unemployed Persons (Caged) made public this Wednesday (27) by the Ministry of Labor. <\/p>\n
Labor minister Ronaldo Nogueira said job numbers tend to drop in November. He said this doesn’t mean the economy stopped improving. “Eight out of 11 months saw positive results this year,” he said. <\/p>\n
The November result stems from 1,111,798 admissions and 1,124,090 dismissals. Year-to-date, a net 299,635 jobs were created, up 0.78% from the year-ago period. In the 12 months through November, 178,528 jobs were lost, down 0.46% from the preceding 12-month period. <\/p>\n
