Brasília – The financial market kept stable its forecast for the Extended National Consumer Price Index (IPCA) – Brazil’s official inflation – at 3.95% for this year, the same as last week’s forecast. The estimative is part of the Focus bulletin, a weekly publication released this Monday at the website of the Brazilian Central Bank (BC) that brings forecasts for the main economical indictors. <\/p>\n
Four weeks ago, the forecast was slightly higher at 3.96% for 2018. The forecast for the growth of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) also remained stable for 2018 at 2.7%. Four weeks ago, the forecast was at a lower 2.68%.<\/p>\n
However, for 2019, there was an increase in the GDP forecast, which went from 2.8%, last week, to 2.99% in the bulletin released today. The forecast for the inflation rate was kept at 4.25%. <\/p>\n
