It reached BRL 6.6 trillion (USD 2.08 trillion) last year. In 2015 and 2016, the economy&rsquo;s growth rate was negative at -3.5%,<\/p>\n<p>The data was released this Wednesday (1) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). In 2017, contributed to the result the increases of 13% in the agricultural sector, and of 0.3% in services, plus industry stability. The agricultural sector&rsquo;s result was the best since the beginning of the series, in 1996. <\/p>\n<p>In the seasonally-adjusted series, the result of the year&rsquo;s last quarter was a growth of 0.1% over the previous quarter.
