The Brazilian Central Bank&rsquo;s monthly Brazil Commodities Index (IC-Br) climbed 0.33% from January, 7.63% in the 12 months through February and 1.25% in January and February. <\/p>\n<p>The IC-Br tracks variations in in Brazilian currency-denominated prices of internationally traded staple goods, which are relevant to domestic price dynamics. <\/p>\n<p>The only category whose prices dropped in February, by 5.35%, was energy commodities (oil, natural gas and coal). Prices of metal commodities (aluminum, iron ore, copper, tin, zinc, lead, nickel, gold and silver) went up 2.13%.
