According to data released this Monday (19) by the Brazilian Central Bank (BC), the Index of Economic Activity of the Central Bank (IBC-Br), seasonally adjusted, showed a decline of 0.56% in January, compared to December. In comparison to January of 2017, there was a 2.97% growth, according to non-adjusted data, since the comparison is among the same periods.<\/p>\n<p>Year-over year ending in January, there was an increase of 1.2% in the non-adjusted data.<\/p>\n<p>IBC-Br is a way of assessing the improvement of the Brazilian economic activity and includes data on the level of activity of the economy&rsquo;s three sectors: industry, retail and services and agriculture, plus the volume of taxes.
