The region bought 447,600 tons of chicken from the country, which means a US$ 438.3 million revenue.<\/P><br \/> <P>Saudi Arabia is the country that imports chicken meat from Brazil the most, and represents 45% of acquisitions made in the Middle East during this period. The Arab country bought 211,200 tons between January and August, a 20.5% increase in relation to the same months last year.<\/P><br \/> <P>In general, chicken meat exports added up to 1.5 million tons between January and August, a 26% increase on last years figures, for the same period. The revenue is at US$ 1.7 billion, 53.8% above the performance during the first eight months in 2003.
