A new version of the news website was launched by the <strong>Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong>\u00a0on Monday (2), in the year the site turns 15, featuring a more modern layout. Short texts and pictures are featured more prominently. New sections have been created to even further support ANBA\u2019s mission of promoting Arab-Brazilian communication.<\/p>\n<p>The new ANBA premiered during a dinner event in S\u00e3o Paulo\u2019s Hotel Unique \u2013 which also marked Arab Community Day in Brazil \u2013 following the Brazil-Arab Countries Economic Forum. The event was attended by delegates from Arab countries and the Arab community in Brazil. The revamped website was announced by Arab Brazilian Chamber president Rubens Hannun.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_154230\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-154230\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-154230\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/homeanba-300x178.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/homeanba-300x178.jpg 300w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/homeanba-768x455.jpg 768w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/homeanba-1024x606.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/homeanba.jpg 1764w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-154230\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">ANBA got a layout revamp and new sections<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe Brazil-Arab News Agency now has a more functional new portal with lots more possibilities and more information. There\u2019s an opportunities-only section for those looking to do business with Arab countries,\u201d Hannun said. The new version was developed by website builder EscaEsco Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o in tandem with the ANBA staff.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/lecture-discuss-new-proof-origin-egypt\/\"><em>Opportunities<\/em><\/a> section will keep readers posted on trade shows, B2B events, conferences, tenders, and businesses looking for partnerships. The <em>Blog <\/em>was designed to bring readers behind-the-scenes news stories. The <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/a-soccer-match-in-the-uae-capital\/\">debut<\/a> post features a light-hearted account from reporter <em>Andr\u00e9 Barros<\/em> on how he attended a soccer match between local teams at Abu Dhabi\u2019s Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium last month. The <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/thousands-of-cows-but-not-a-pasture-in-sight\/\">second<\/a> post\u00a0sees\u00a0<em>Alexandre Rocha<\/em>\u00a0tell the story of a visit he made to a milk farm in the middle of the desert.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/category\/people\/\">People<\/a><\/em> will bring stories about prominent personalities from the Arab community in Brazil who made contributions to the country\u2019s ties with Middle East and North Africa nations. For the section\u2019s first-ever feature, <em>Isaura Daniel<\/em> interviewed Lebanese-descendant businessman Ricardo Sayon, the founder of toy store chain Ri Happy.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/category\/%E2%80%8Bthe-arabs-and-me\/\">The Arabs and Me<\/a><\/em> will run first-person accounts of successful stories in dealing with Arabs. For the first feature, foreign trade executive Damaris Eug\u00eania da Costa, of export-import firm Braseco, traces back her story doing business in Arab countries. The <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/category\/halal-en\/\"><em>Halal<\/em><\/a> section will feature stories on the booming industry of goods and services that adhere to Muslim beliefs.<\/p>\n<p>ANBA has a tradition of putting out great special stories. Its award-winning <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/category\/special-reports\/\"><em>Special Reports<\/em><\/a> section remains in place. For the new website\u2019s premiere, <em>Bruna Garcia<\/em> brings you a story on Brazilian women who deal with or work in the Arab world. And culture is back in the spotlight in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/category\/al-sharq\/\"><em>Al-Sharq<\/em><\/a>: an article written especially for the new site covers the Arabic course of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, during the website\u2019s pre-launch, ANBA ran an exclusive interview with Brazil\u2019s Agriculture minister <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/blairo-arabs-are-agricultures-strategic-partners\/\">Blairo Maggi,<\/a>\u00a0who said Arabs are strategic partners of Brazil\u2019s agribusiness industry: \u201cWe have a good partnership that can expanded and we\u2019re working on this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The number of daily features on the news agency\u2019s homepage has increased from three to six, and space has been added in the Portuguese version for news straight from the Arab world \u2013 in the <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/category\/arabianas\/\"><em>Arabianas<\/em><\/a> section \u2013 and in the English version for information on Brazil \u2013 in <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/category\/braziliana\/\"><em>Braziliana<\/em><\/a>. The room available for pictures and other media has also increased significantly.<\/p>\n<p>More than just news content, ANBA&#8217;s homepage and inner pages now feature ad space available to Brazilian and Arab companies. The ads are initially available for Arab Brazilian Chamber members.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About ANBA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ANBA is the news website of the Arab Brazilian Chamber. Its mission is to promote communication between Brazilians and Arabs.<\/p>\n<p>The website features reports on economics, business and foreign trade on a daily basis, with an emphasis on Brazil\u2019s relations with the 22 Arab countries. It also runs material on diplomacy, tourism, culture and sports. All stories are available in Portuguese and English.<\/p>\n<p>ANBA was created in September 2003.
