The company explained that production was halted for maintenance and corrections. This was scheduled for late 2017, but plans were postponed.<\/p>\n<p>Vale\u2019s Oman plant is located in Oman, along with storage facilities and a maritime terminal. The company ships ore from Brazil to be processed into pellets in the Arab country.<\/p>\n<p>Vale\u2019s iron ore and pellets sales broke a record in Q1 2018 at 84.3 million tons, up 6.4 million from Q1 2017.
