Bras\u00edlia \u2013 March saw 56,151 formal job posts created in Brazil, as per the General Register of Employed and Unemployed Persons (Cadastro Geral de Empregados e Desempregados – Caged) made public this Friday (20) by the Brazilian Ministry of Labor. This was the third straight month of jobs going up in Brazil \u2013 with 77,822 posts added in January and 61,188 in February.<\/p>\n
Employment was up 0.15% in March from February. In March, 1.34 million workers were hired and 1.284 million were fired in Brazil. This was also the best result for a March since 2013, when net job creation reached 112,450 posts.<\/p>\n
Year-to-date, 204,064 net jobs were added, up 0.54% from a year ago. In the 12 months through March, 223,367 job posts were created, up 0.59% year-on-year.<\/p>\n
