One of the sectors that generated this growth was the export sector.<\/P><br \/> <P>These figures were supplied today (31) by the Brazilian Institute for Geography and Statistics (IBGE). When compared to the first quarter of 2004, the GDP growth was 2.9%.<\/P><br \/> <P>The IBGE figures show that, from January to March this year, agriculture was the only sector that registered growth (2.6%) when compared to the same period last year.
