The site will operate as a distribution centre and generate around 350 direct jobs. This information was supplied by the Sebrae News Agency.<\/P><br \/> <P>The centre is an initiative by the Piau\u00ed State Cashew Farmer Project, in partnership with the Bank of Brazil Foundation. The site will be used by producers from the cities of Altos, Ipiranga, Vila Nova, Francisco Santos, Santo Antonio de Lisboa, Pio IX, Campo Grande do Piau\u00ed, Itain\u00f3polis, Jaic\u00f3s and Monsenhor Hip\u00f3lito. <\/P><br \/> <P>The centre will operate from the city of Picos and will have a capacity to process 160 tonnes of cashew nuts per month. Practically all of the cashew nut production will be exported. Eighty percent will be sold to the United States and Italy.
