In the accumulated value from January to August, expenditure reached US$ 12.4 billion, an increase in 18% in comparison to the same period in 2004. The value, however, is still distant from the budget set out for this year, which is of US$ 25.8 billion.<\/P><br \/> <P>Industry was the sector that influenced the increase in loans the most, especially the transport material segment. Financings to the industry added up to US$ 5.9 billion during the first eight months in2005, or 52% more than in the same period last year.<\/P><br \/> <P>There was a significant increase also in the credits for exports, which reached US$ 3.1 billion between January and August, an increase by 44% in relation to the same period in 2004.
