The increase was driven mainly by the sales good performance to some markets.<\/P><br \/> <P>Algeria, for example, purchased US$ 69 million worth of beef from Brazil during the first eight months of the year, 200% more than in the same period in 2004. Also exports to Bulgaria increased by 382%, with US$ 53 million.<\/P><br \/> <P>Brazil continues as the leader in world exports of bovine beef.
