The meeting will end on Sunday at Pestana Bahia Hotel, in Salvador, the capital of the northeastern Brazilian state of S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/P><br \/> <P>On Friday night the Product and Service Exhibition will be opened, in the Jorge Amado Room, followed by the release of two special stamps in homage of the event and a by a welcome cocktail party.<\/P><br \/> <P>The Conference is promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply in partnership with the International Coffee Organization (ICO) and is organized by the Bahia state Association of Farmers and Irrigators. The conference will be opened officially on Saturday by Brazilian president Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva, and the ceremony will include other presidents and state governors.<\/P><br \/> <P>The objective is to analyse the current scenery of the coffee economy, which is undergoing one of the most serious crises ever, and plan future strategies seeking the equilibrium between production and consumption.
