The shipment totalled 65,500 tonnes, 45% more than in the same month last year, according to figures disclosed today (10) by the Brazilian Pork Exporters Association (Abipecs).<\/P><br \/> <P>From January to October this year, foreign sales of the product have already totalled US$ 1 billion, growth of 63% in comparison to the first ten months of last year. Shipment totalled 539,100 tonnes of pork, 27.4% more than in the same period in 2004.<\/P><br \/> <P>To Russia, the main market for Brazilian pork, shipments totalled 348,600 tonnes between January and October, which corresponds to 40% of the total shipped in the period.
