The screening will be followed by a debate with Salem Nasser, a Law professor at Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Getulio Vargas (FGV) and former president of the Institute of Arab Culture (ICArabe) and Luiz Zanin, a movie critic for newspaper <em>O Estado de S. Paulo<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The drama is a co-production of Tunisia, Belgium and France, and in Brazil it is being distributed by Pandora Filmes. The feature film won the Golden Bear for Best First Feature Award from the jury at the Berlinale \u2013 Berlin International Film Festival and Majd Mastoura won the Silver Bear for Best Actor. It opens in S\u00e3o Paulo this Thursday (31).<\/p>\n<p>The movie tells the story of Hedi, a 25-year-old man whose life is being planned by his overprotective mother, in a Tunisia that just recently had opened itself to democracy. The main character, who works in a car dealership, is about to get married to a woman chosen by his family, and he seems withdrawn and apathetic with the situation. But, in a work trip, he falls in love with an employee of a resort, a free-spirited young woman\u00a0who will shake up the scripted future that awaits him.<\/p>\n<p>ICArabe is hosting the pre-release screening and debate alongside <em>O Estado de S. Paulo<\/em>, Pandora Filmes and Cine Caixa Belas Artes.
