The Amazon state capital concentrates almost all of the motorcycle production in Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>From January to May, 444,566 motorcycles were manufactured, up 19% over 2017\u2019s first five months. According to ABRACICLO\u2019s president, Marcos Fermanian, the data shows the consolidation of the sector\u2019s recovery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat we saw the most in this period was the continuous upward trend of business in the domestic market and everything points to forecasts being revised up,\u201d he said in a statement. In the beginning of 2018, the association was expecting a growth of 5.9% in the annual output.<\/p>\n<p>Exports also went up. In May, 5,945 motorcycles were shipped, a surge of 37.2% in comparison to the same month of 2017. From January to May, 37,852 units were exported, up 53.3% over the same period of last year.
