In comparison to the same period of past year, however, the GDP grew 1.3%, according to the GDP Monitor, measured by Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Getulio Vargas (FGV).<\/p>\n<p>But in April only, the GDP grew 0.1% in comparison to March of this year and 2.9% in comparison to April of last year. Year-over-year, the GDP has grown 1.6%.<\/p>\n<p>In the comparison between the quarter that ended in April with the quarter that ended in January, only the agricultural sector registered a growth (0.1%). The industry sector shrank 0.4%, with the services sector shrinking 0.1%.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding demand, household consumption (0.1%) and exports (3.8%) went up.
