The speaker will be Cintia Gama, who holds a PhD in Egyptian religion and has been in the Arab country on three archaeological missions.<\/p>\n<p>The museum said the lecture is intended to show what were the possibilities in female social action in an ancient society. Historical, archaeological and literary documents will be presented, as well as examples of how women were portrayed (<em>pictured above, a statue of Egyptian queen Hatshepsut<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>The meeting is part of the lecture cycle \u201cWomen and their Knowledges,\u201d which will feature 11 lectures by professors specializing in related topics.<\/p>\n<p>Besides holding a PhD in Ancient Egyptian Religion from \u00c9cole Pratique des Hautes \u00c9tudes \u2013 Sorbonne, Paris, Cintia Gama is a professor in history of gastronomy at Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas (FMU) and a former science adviser to the Department of Egyptian Antiquities at the Louvre Museum, in addition to other titles and positions.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture will be delivered on Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm and 30 seats are available.
