S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The 9th<\/sup>\u00a0ExpoAzeite will include a lecture on Arab olive oil that is being organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong>. \u201cOlive Oil in the Arab World: The Major Discovery for the Brazilian Market\u201d is scheduled for July 11, the fair\u2019s second day, at 1:30 pm, at Pal\u00e1cio de Exposi\u00e7\u00f5es do Anhembi, in S\u00e3o Paulo. Registrations are open and cost BRL 50 (USD 13.36) for the two days of the event.<\/p>\n

Arab Chamber International Business executive Fernanda Baltazar will speak on the quality of the Arab olive oil, which are still little known in Brazil, specially the products coming from North African countries such as Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria and Egypt, plus Palestine and Lebanon, in the Middle East.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to show the market potential of the Arab countries, which offer extreme high-quality products with competitive prices, but that are still little known by the Brazilian consumer; we also aim to demystify the olive oil market, dispelling the notion that quality products only come from Europe; in fact, many Arab brands have been awarded for their outstanding quality,\u201d said Baltazar.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wish to bring attention to the Arab olive oil and encourage the consumer and importer to buy the Arab products, to create this demand in the country; we will also talk about the need to register the products with MAPA (Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply),\u201d said the Arab Chamber\u2019s advisor to the presidency for strategic affairs, Tamer Mansour.<\/p>\n

In addition to the lecture, the Arab Chamber, alongside Tunisia\u2019s embassy, will set up an exhibition stand with several Tunisian olive oils during the fair\u2019s two days, so visitors and importers can get to know some of the brands from the country, which is one of the world\u2019s largest olive oil producers.<\/p>\n

Amine Sayeb, the First Secretary of the Embassy of Tunisia, said that \u201cthis is an opportunity to present the Tunisian olive oil to the Brazilian consumer.\u201d According to him, the product\u2019s already on the shelves of supermarket Carrefour<\/em> and some importing companies.<\/p>\n
