From January to June, in comparison to the same period of last year, sales went up 14.4%.<\/p>\n<p>To supply the needs of inventories replenishment, in shortage due to the truckers\u2019 strike, vehicle production raised the pace. \u201cThe companies have worked for the recovery and preparation of inventories for the months of July and August,\u201d said Antonio Carlos Botelho Megale, the association\u2019s president.<\/p>\n<p>In June, 256,305 units were produced, up 21.1% over the same month of last year. From January to June, production increased 13.6% over the same period of 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Exports declined 4.4% over June of 2017. From January to June, foreign sales went up 0.5%.
