This Friday, at 8 pm, his film, <em>Foyer<\/em>, from 2016, will be screened, followed by a roundtable with him. Admission is free and the festival takes place at farm Fazenda Serrinha.<\/p>\n<p>Foyer is a 32-minutes short documentary that shows a pulsating white screen and, complementing this white emptiness, conversations with subtitles between the cameraman and people that approach him asking about his job.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arteserrinha.com.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">festival<\/a>, which began on July 9 and runs until July 29, is to propose a moment of celebration and artistic immersion in nature, with workshops, experiences, residencies, concerts, performances, lectures, theatre, cinema and exhibitions. The event takes place since 2002, always a three week-period during July, in the Serrinha district.<\/p>\n<p>Isma\u00efl Bahri is 40 years old and was born in Tunis, Tunisia. The visual artist lives between his hometown, Paris and Lyon, France. The video as a form of expression plays an important role in his work, which also includes drawings, photos and installations. His work focuses on simple elements of day-to-day life, from which he develops processes and attributes universal issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instruments <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Besides participating in the festival, the artist is presenting a solo exhibition called <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/solo-exhibit-french-tunisian-artist-opens-sao-paulo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Instruments<\/em><\/a> at <a href=\"http:\/\/espacoculturalportoseguro.com.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Espa\u00e7o Cultural Porto Seguro<\/a>, in S\u00e3o Paulo, since May 22. His first exhibition in Latin America features video installations focusing on ephemerality and simplicity.
