{"id":198290,"date":"2018-07-27T20:02:37","date_gmt":"2018-07-27T23:02:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=198290"},"modified":"2019-06-30T16:33:19","modified_gmt":"2019-06-30T19:33:19","slug":"entries-open-unesco-sharjah-prize","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/entries-open-unesco-sharjah-prize\/","title":{"rendered":"Entries open for the UNESCO-Sharjah Prize"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The Division for Agreements and Multilateral Cultural Affairs (DAMC) is open, until August 15, to submissions by Brazilians to the 16<sup>th<\/sup> edition of the UNESCO-Sharjah Prize for Arab Culture, organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and by the government of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The prize is given to individuals, groups or institutions that have contributed to the spread of Arab culture via literature, arts, science or other type of intellectual work, regardless of any religious considerations.<\/p>\n<p>The prize awards two individuals, groups or institutions, one from the Arab world and other from any other region. According to Itamaraty, the submissions must have a recommendation letter, in English or French, by some eminent authority in the field of the candidate, with the candidate\u2019s resume and his\/her achievements; an overview on the candidate\u2019s work, publications and other supporting documents; and a description of the individual or group contribution regarding the prize\u2019s goals.<\/p>\n<p>The submissions will be forwarded to the prize\u2019s organization by the Brazilian government. Each one of the two winners will receive USD 30,000.
