It has been shipping its flagship products \u2013 cold water pipes and fittings for buildings \u2013 to the Arab country since 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Algeria is one of the countries Krona exports the most product to, since its regulations and specifications for\u00a0pipes and fittings are the same as Brazil\u2019s. The company\u2019s exports specialist Cibele Campos said it is crucial to look into regulations and requirements for pipes in each country before endeavoring to export. \u201cMolds are very costly, so right now we are looking for Latin American and Arab markets compatible whose measurements match ours,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_198459\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-198459\" style=\"width: 350px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/cibele-campos-krona.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-198459\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/cibele-campos-krona.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"263\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-198459\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cibele: &#8216;We&#8217;re looking to increase sales to Algeria&#8217;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe know that requirements in Egypt, for instance, are the same as in Brazil, so we intend to start selling to them too. That\u2019s why we\u2019ve become members of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, because we wish to expand in Algeria, which is also compatible, and to find out what other Arab countries are compatible,\u201d Campos said while visiting the Arab Chamber to attend a <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/diversificacao-economica-arabe-gera-demanda-em-construcao\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">building industry event<\/a>\u00a0this Wednesday (1).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this lecture we learned that Algeria could potentially buy more product, because major housing projects are underway there,\u201d she explained. The company started out selling PVC pipes 25 years ago. Krona is\u00a0the third biggest-selling player in its industry in Brazil. It ranks among the eight leading wholesalers in the country, and makes 5,000 tons\u2019 worth of PVC each month.
