The period saw 906 deals, the highest number since 1994, when the survey began to monitor M&amp;A. Tech companies (picture above) played a major role in M&amp;A done earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018\u2019s first half, there were 461 deals against 385 done in last year\u2019s first half, up nearly 20%. Most of the deals \u2013 232 \u2013 were done among Brazilian companies.
