It’s the best result for the period ever.

However, in July, cargo-handling declined 1.5% over the same month of 2017 to 11.87 million tons. According to CODESP, July’s numbers were already expected due to the lower supply of sugar, among other reasons. Even so, it was the second-best performance for a July.

The port’s shipments dropped 3% last month to 8.56 million tons, while discharges increased 2.6% to 3.3 million tons.

The main products shipped in July were those from the soy complex (beans, oil and bran), sugar, maize, wood pulp and diesel oil.
