The event held by the export promotion agency of the emirate took place on August 15 and 16, <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/brazilian-supermarket-chain-dubai-b2b-event\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">as reported by ANBA this Thursday (30)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to St Marche\u2019s imports manager, Jos\u00e9 Bezerra de Menezes <em>(in the picture above, in the middle)<\/em>, the company is interested in importing products from the United Arab Emirates. \u201cSince the Arab community in S\u00e3o Paulo is one of the largest, we decided to check if we can find products for this group,\u201d he said to ANBA via email.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_200177\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-200177\" style=\"width: 350px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/stmarche2.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-200177\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/stmarche2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"165\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-200177\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">St Marche&#8217;s store at mall P\u00e1tio Higien\u00f3polis, in S\u00e3o Paulo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Brazilian company attended the event after an invitation by Dubai Exports. It gathered 11 international buyers from six countries with 54 companies from the emirate. In addition to Brazil, there were importers from Hong Kong, Russia, India, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.<\/p>\n<p>Menezes said that St Marche is interested in importing goods such as chocolates, dates and snacks. \u201cI believe that we can make deals with two companies: Hunter and Chocolate,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hunterfoods.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hunter Foods<\/a> produces a wide range of snacks, plus cookies, granola, walnuts and almonds, croutons and other food products. <a href=\"https:\/\/chocodate.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chocolate<\/a> is known for its dates filled with almonds and covered in chocolate.<\/p>\n<p>Menezes said that the first contact he has made with Dubai companies was during the trade expo of the S\u00e3o Paulo Supermarkets Association (Apas Show).
