The decline follows a 4.8% growth in June. The data is from the Monthly Survey of Services (PMS) of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).<\/p>\n<p>The index also dropped in comparison to July 2017 (0.3%), year-to-date (0.8%) and year-over-year (1%). Despite the decline, the index, beginning in April of 2017, has been showing increasingly more moderate falls in the year-over-year periods.<\/p>\n<p>From the five sectors surveyed, only services to households registered a growth in gross revenues from June to July (3.1%).
