This total stand 17.6% above last month\u2019s total exports.<\/p>\n<p>Foreign sales generated USD 590 million, up 13.5% over August 2017. But the average price of the product fell 3.5%.<\/p>\n<p>The main markets for Brazilian beef last month were China, Hong Kong, Chile, Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Holland, Israel and Lebanon <em>(picture above)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Total exports by Brazilian agribusiness totaled USD 9.367 billion in August, up 3.6% over the same month of last year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Year-to-date<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From January to August, exports of fresh beef have reached USD 3.415 billion, up 8.8% over the same period of last year. Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates appear among the top ten markets. Lebanon is the 11<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Overall exports by the agribusiness sector totaled USD 68.52 billion, up 4.7% in the same comparison. The soy complex (beans, bran and oil) tops the list of Brazilian agricultural products exported.<\/p>\n<p>MAPA also highlighted the performance by wood pulp, which hit records in both volume and revenues.
