The result means a 10.5% hike in the number of passengers over the same period of last year.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly 6.5 million passengers passed through Mohammed V International Airport, the country\u2019s largest, in Casablanca. It accounted for 44% of air travelers in the country. In the same period, the Marrakech Menara Airport <em>(picture above)<\/em> received 3.3 million passengers, with the Agadir-Al Massira airport registering 1.2 million people.<\/p>\n<p>In August, 2.3 million people arrived and departed from Moroccan terminals, up 3.9% over the same month of 2017, which registered a passenger flow of 2.2 million. The Mohammed V International Airport received 1.1 million passengers.<\/p>\n<p>Moroccan airports handled 6,463 tons of cargo in August, down 5.3% over the same month of 2017.
