The bid was reported to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change by the presidency of the Group of Latin American and Caribbean Countries in the United Nations (GRULAC), currently occupied by Barbados.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, the conference rotates across five regions, and next year will be time for a Latin American or Caribbean country to host it. Brazil\u2019s bid pends approval at COP-24, to run from December 2 to 14 in Katowice, Poland.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry also said the COP\u2019s\u00a0primary goal at this time relates to conclusions on the Paris Agreement on climate change, so it can be fully implemented from 2020\u00a0on.
