The event\u2019s central theme is \u201cYouth Empowerment \u2013 transformation to achieve sustainable development.\u201d Registrations are open. This edition of the Brazil Africa Forum aims to create an environment of high-level discussion involving key leaders to share ideas, experiences and opportunities for young people in Brazil and Africa,\u201d said Jo\u00e3o Bosco Monte, president of the Brazil Africa Institute.<\/p>\n<p>Among the topics to be covered are \u201cA New Wave for Brazil-Africa Trade and Investments Flows\u201d, \u201cCreative Industry\u201d, \u201cThe Role of Youth in Promoting Democracy and Peace\u201d, \u201cLocal Development\u201d, \u201cSouth-South and Triangular Cooperation for Health and Development.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Listed as speakers are Saad Ali Shire, minister of Foreign Affairs &amp; International Cooperation of the Republic of Somaliland; Waleed Wohaib, Director General of the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development; Celso Amorim, Brazil\u2019s former minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense; and Jos\u00e9 Ramos Horta, former president of East Timor and Nobel Peace Prize Winner.<\/p>\n<p>Other speakers are Simeon K. Ehui, Director of the World Bank Group; Maria do Carmo Silveira, Executive Secretary of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP); and Oley Dibba-Wadda, Director of Human Capital, Youth and Skills Development of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB). The registration fee is BRL 1,500 (USD 420).<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> is a partner of the event.
