S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The Young Entrepreneurs Committee (CJE<\/a>) of the Federation of Industries of the State of S\u00e3o Paulo (FIESP)<\/a> is visiting Dubai this Tuesday (30) and will stay in the emirate until November 1. The stop in the United Arab Emirates was planned as part of a mission to Shanghai, China, and in addition to the committee\u2019s board of directors, representatives of 16 Brazilian companies \u2013 from the food, sports gear, coffee, consulting and law fields, among others \u2013 are traveling with the delegation.<\/p>\n

In an interview to ANBA by phone, CJE\u2019s senior director, Luiz Hoffmann, said that members of the group attended the Global Islamic Economy Summit<\/a> (picture above)<\/em> \u2013 which began this Tuesday and ends on Wednesday \u2013, visited consulting firms, attended B2B meetings and presentations at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Dubai Chamber<\/a>), and got to know two free trade zones. Throughout the day, the mission talked with over 150 Arab companies.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re in Dubai, breaking up the trip to China to get to know better the country\u2019s market and culture, how to do business and have an idea of the corporate environment. We believe it\u2019s important to network to be able to expand business, increase exports and establish partnerships, creating a bridge between Brazil and the United Arab Emirates,\u201d said Hoffmann.<\/p>\n

In the schedule for the next few days, there are meetings with Karen Jones, Chief Operating Officer of the Office of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil<\/a>) for Middle East and North Africa, Oman Khan, Dubai Chamber\u2019s Director of International Offices, and Stephane Perard, director general of Emirates Airline<\/a> in Brazil, among others.<\/p>\n

Summit <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Global Islamic Economy Summit is the world\u2019s largest forum dedicated to the Islamic economy. The fourth edition has chosen the them \u201cA Shared Future\u201d, with panels on social impact entrepreneurship, responsible funding, development of the fourth industrial revolution and the use of innovative data storage technology blockchain to the Islamic economy. The summit is organized by the Dubai Chamber and the Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC). The event expects over 3,000 people from over 74 countries.<\/p>\n

China <\/strong><\/p>\n

With the support of Apex-Brasil, FIESP organized, from November 2 to 11, a trade mission to China for companies planning to enter the Chinese market, offering a schedule dedicated to market and business research. The goals of the mission are to get to know and research market trends, consumer preferences and opportunities to place Brazilian products in China, provide information on ways to access the market and technical, regulatory and customs requirements to export to China, networking and introduction to the Chinese sales channels.<\/p>\n
