The mark was celebrated by the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Instagram<\/em> <\/a>account this Wednesday (21). \u201cThe 2022 FIFA #World Cup Qatar kicks off in exactly four years time! We\u2019re counting down the days already\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BqcEQG0H2Ur\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post<\/a> reads.<\/p>\n<p>Qatar will host the 2022 tournament, which also will be the first World Cup to take place in November. The schedule change \u2013 the tournament usually is held between May and July \u2013 was due to climate issues. Temperatures in Qatar exceed 40C in July.<\/p>\n<p>The date change was being discussed within FIFA since the middle of 2014. \u201cThere is no question that Qatar will host the 2022 World Cup.
