The information is from think tank Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Getulio Vargas (FGV)\u2019s GDP Monitor report. The think tank\u2019s calculations are not the official measure of GDP in Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>FGV reports 1.7% expansion in year-on-year Q3 and a 1.6% hike in the 12 months through September. September-only numbers show growth of 0.4% over August and 1.1% over September 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The 1% growth seen in Q3 was driven by all three major productive sectors, with services up 0.7%, industry up 0.7% and agriculture up 2.4%. Out of all industry subsectors, construction grew the most at 1.5%.
