S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 In its 5th<\/sup> and final edition, Islam of Solidarity (Islam Solid\u00e1rio<\/em>) will feature attractions for kids and grownups alike. Hosted by the event Federation of Muslim Associations in Brazil (Fambras<\/a>) will be held at Clube Escola Vila Guarani, in S\u00e3o Paulo\u2019s Vila Guarani neighborhood on Sunday (9). There will be face paintings, balloon sculptures, inflatable toys and free popcorn and cotton candy. Islam Solid\u00e1rio<\/em> will make available medical exams for hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol, hepatitis C and eye exams.<\/p>\n

The event is open to the public and free of charge, during the\u00a06th<\/sup> S\u00e3o Paulo City Hall Human Rights Festival<\/a>\u00a0WEEK. Healthcare professionals will also provide advice on nutrition, dental care and breast self-exams. A limited number of eyeglasses will be made on the spot and given out for free, and massages will be also available.<\/p>\n

Islam Solid\u00e1rio<\/em> has been taking place since 2010. For this special year-end edition, Fambras said there will be visits by delegates from the\u00a0Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives<\/a>, an Arab organization named after the Dubai emir and UAE prime minister, which has been supporting the program since 2016.<\/p>\n

Cultural attractions will include the graffiti group Zuma Luma, who will do work on the Club\u2019s walls. Capoeira<\/em> group For\u00e7as Unidas and the indigenous tribe Penumb\u00e9 Por\u00e3 from Parelheiros will also perform.<\/p>\n

Islam Solid\u00e1rio<\/em> will see food kits, jackets and toys distributed to families who got vouchers beforehand.\u00a0About 2,000 copies of \u00a0Khalil<\/a>\u00a0comic books, produced by Fambras and launched during the S\u00e3o Paulo Book Biennial, will also be handed out.<\/p>\n
