The Nakba had its 70<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary in 2018, and its memory will be rekindled in the art show slated to open this Tuesday (11) at NGO A\u00e7\u00e3o Educativa, in S\u00e3o Paulo (SP). The show will run until February 28, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>A short concert by singer Oula Al-Saghir and musician Yousef Saif, both of whom are Palestinians, will mark the show\u2019s launch starting 7 pm. The work of photographers including Gabriel Mathias, Julia Dolce Ribeiro, Karine Garc\u00eaz, Mariana Payno, Noor Bakr, Rog\u00e9rio Ferrari and Zuni Pl\u00ednio will be on show. A\u00e7\u00e3o Educativa said the pictures were taken during trips to Israeli-occupied Pales, and to refugee camps across the Arab world and Turkey<\/p>\n<p>Also on show will be pieces by <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LatuffCartoons\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cartoonist Carlos Latuff<\/a>\u00a0portraying a character who\u2019s a \u201cPalestinian mother.\u201d \u201cThe cartoons carry the symbolism of woman in resistance and determination in the struggle for the refugees to return to their homeland \u2013 5 million of them are living in camps, and thousands are in the Diaspora,\u201d reads the exhibition text by Soraya Misleh.<\/p>\n<p>The event features photos of camps in Syria, Lebanon, Turkey and Gaza by photographer <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/brasileira-retrata-criancas-em-refugio-no-oriente-medio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Karine Garc\u00eaz<\/a>; ; and photos taken in the West Bank and Gaza by D Gabriel Mathias, Rog\u00e9rio Ferrari and Noor Bakr. The videos were shot by Eliane Gon\u00e7alves and Gal Souza during a humanitarian mission in 2015.
