Rio de Janeiro \u2013 Brazilian Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew 1.2% in the trimester ended in October this year compared to the one ended in July. Compared to the trimester ended in October 2017, the growth reached 1.3%.<\/p>\n

These data are from the GDP Monitor published this Wednesday (19) by Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Getulio Vargas (FGV). Considering only October, there was a 0.3% drop comparing it with September and a 1.7% rise in relation to October last year.<\/p>\n

The 1.2% rise from the semester ended in July to the one ended in October was driven by an 1.4% growth in industry and an 1.2% growth in services. Farming was the only one among the big sectors with a drop in the period: 0.5%.<\/p>\n
