Year-to-date through November, 32.1 million tons were made, up 1.8% from a year ago. The numbers were made public by industry association\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.acobrasil.org.br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Instituto A\u00e7o Brasil<\/a>\u00a0this Thursday (20).<\/p>\n<p>In November, flat-rolled steel production amounted to 2 million tons, up 0.9% from November 2017. Production of semi-finished steel products for sale purposes reached 768,000 tons, down 5.8%.<\/p>\n<p>Year-to-date through November, flat-rolled steel production amounted to 21.5 million tons, up 4.3% from a year ago, with semi-finished steel products for sale purposes amounting to 8.9 million tons, up 0.4%.<\/p>\n<p>Steel imports to Brazil in November came out to 171,000 tons and USD 204 million. Imports increased in volume (3%) and value (15.3%) compared with November 2017.
