The volume was achieved dueto a good performance during the second half, which had a monthly average of 377.3 thousand tons shipped, according to ABPA, the best performance of the last three years. The sector managed and reduced the accumulated losses ofthe first half of 2018 \u2013 which closed with a 13.4% drop over the same period of 2017 \u2013 and finished the year with a result 5.1% lower than the 4.32 million tons exported in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The performance is partly due to the positive balance of the sector in the last month of 2018. <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/poultry-sales-to-arab-countries-slide-could-go-back-up\/\">Confirming ABPA projections<\/a>, exports in December reached 352.8 thousand tons, a volume 9.9% higher than the 321.1 thousand tons shipped during the same period of 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The annual revenue of poultry exportation sector was USD 6.571 billion, a value 9.2% lower than the total in 2017.
