Every Saturday at 4 pm, the project \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sescsp.org.br\/programacao\/178444_NARRACOES+DE+HISTORIA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Storytelling<\/a>\u201d presents stories from different cultures and parts of the world with the art educator Danilo Minharro. The first story is going to be the Arabian tale \u201cThe Fisherman and the Jinni,\u201d this Saturday (5) at the Sesc\u2019s living area.<\/p>\n<p>The tale is based on a story from the book \u201cOne Thousand and One Nights\u201d describing a very poor fisherman getting desperate because he doesn\u2019t know how he is going to support his family. While fishing, he casts his net a few times, but catches nothing but mud, rocks and shells. After three failed attempts, the fisherman prays to God to find something for his sustenance in his final attempt, then he catches a sealed jar. When he removes the cap, a plume of smoke comes out of the jar condensing into a jinni.<\/p>\n<p>The four other stories are the Yoruba \u201cOxaful\u00e3 Visits Xango\u201d in January 12; the tale \u201cAbuella Grillo\u201d from the Bolivian Ayoreo people in 19; and \u201cRaissa, the City of Sadness,\u201d also presented in Brazilian Sign Language, in 26. The event is free and for all ages.<\/p>\n<p>According to Minharro, the stories told are part of the project \u201cStories from the World,\u201d where an encounter between a powerful emperor and a traveler conducts the narratives. \u201cThe traveler tells the emperor stories from different places of the world where he had been, and my storytelling seeks to focus on the interaction with the public where they participate in the story,\u201d said the storyteller.
