The company announced KATIM\u00ae R01, which was described as the world\u2019s first ultra-secure smartphone. The product was tested in different places such as the UAE, Finland and Canada.<\/p>\n<p>In order to handle extreme conditions, the product is reinforced by five layers of hardened case, designed to meet two military standards for harsh field conditions. \u201cWe combined our expertise in secure communications with everything the mobile market expects in a handset, including a great user experience. Then we challenged the brightest minds in the industry to create a rugged design to withstand extreme field conditions experienced by defense, emergency services, and the construction, mining, transport, energy, oil and gas industries,\u201d said Karim Sabbagh, CEO of DarkMatter Group.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Data security<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the physical reinforcements, the Arab group phone also has end-to-end secure apps for chat, voice and video. The company stated the device has state-of-the-art security features to separate communications and data from the outside world.
