The underused warehouses will be auctioned, according to the minister, who installed the new CONAB president Newton Ara\u00fajo Silva J\u00fanior.<\/p>\n<p>According to Cristina, CONAB supply network is a large and old one, and it does not make sense to keep it now that traders in the agriculture sector are more dynamic and have more modern supply and production outlet systems. \u201cWe can\u2019t afford having public companies with a huge patrimony because maintaining them isn\u2019t worth its use,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<p>CONAB has now 178 warehouses, and 67 of them are underused, according to the new president.
