Overall, bids for the three blocks reached BRL 2.377 billion (USD 621 million). The terminals are located at Northeast, Southeast and Central-West Brazil, and together receive 19.6 million passenger per year, which equals to 9.5% of the national aviation market. The investment predicted for the three blocks is BRL 3.5 billion (USD 914 million) within 30 years.<\/p>\n<p>In an auction market by many offers, the biggest quarrel was for the Northeast block. The Spanish group Aena Desarrollo Internacional offered BRL 1.9 billion (USD 496 million) and purchased the lot made up by the airports of Jo\u00e3o Pessoa and Campina Grande, Para\u00edba; Recife, Pernambuco; Macei\u00f3, Alagoas; Aracaju, Sergipe; and Juazeiro do Norte, Cear\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>This Friday auction was the first in the block model.
