Out of the 190-or-so participating restaurants, four serve Arab food \u2013 Farabbud, which has two addresses, Tahin which has three, Bekaa, and Arabia, with one unit each.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurants offer fixed-price menus for lunch and dinner, including entr\u00e9e, main course and dessert. Conventional meals go for BRL 46.90 for lunch and BRL 58.90 for dinner. Premium meals \u2013 featuring award-winning dishes, special ingredients and more elaborate recipes \u2013 cost BRL 68 for lunch and BRL 89 for dinner, with reservation required. Prices do not include service fees or beverages.<\/p>\n<p>This edition is themed \u201cFarm to Table,\u201d highlighting the importance of fresh season ingredients and locally-sourced items. Featured restaurants serve contemporary, Italian, French, Argentinian and Peruvian food, as well as cuisines from Brazilian regions such as the Amazon. Vegetarians options are also available from some restaurants (check menus online before going).<\/p>\n<p>A press release quoted Restaurant Week CEO Fernando Reis as saying the event is designed to afford opportunities and access to good food at more affordable prices.<\/p>\n<p>The Arab restaurants are: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.farabbud.com.br\/sobre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Farabbud<\/a>\u2019s Vila Nova Concei\u00e7\u00e3o (R. Diogo Jacome, 360) and Moema (Al. dos Anapurus, 1253) units; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tahin.com.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tahin<\/a>\u2019s Consola\u00e7\u00e3o (R. Fernando de Albuquerque, 255), Pinheiros (R. Vupabussu, 71) and Market Place (Av. Dr. Chucri Zaidan, 902) units; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bekaarestaurante.com.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bekaa<\/a> (R. Jamanari, 330, in Vila Andrade); and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arabia.com.br\/site\/restaurante-arabia.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Arabia<\/a> (R. Haddock Lobo, 1397, Cerqueira C\u00e9sar).<\/p>\n<p>Lunch options from Arabia include hummus and avocado entr\u00e9e, rice vermicelli, artichoke stuffed with meat and seasoned dry curd sauce \u2013 the place\u2019s flagship dish (pictured above).<\/p>\n<p>Tahin serves a vegetarian option including falafel and hummus, tabbouleh salad (parsley, mint, onion, tomato, wheat, olive oil, salt and lime) and rice with lentils, for lunch and dinner, in all its three addresses. Farabbud\u2019s two units will serve raw salmon kibbeh as a dinner entr\u00e9e option \u2013 fresh chopped salmon and chives, sweet-and-sour ginger and pepper, cayenne pepper, lemon cream, and zaatar-seasoned toast on the side. Bekaa, which is owned by the same network as Farabbud, opened in December last year, and is taking part in the event for the first time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.institutocesarcielo.com.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Instituto Cesar Cielo<\/a> will get BRL 1 per meal sold, and the final sum will go to projects designed to encourage swimming and new sports talents. The institute caters to 200 children and adolescents.<\/p>\n<p>Invoices can also be donated to special-needs children\u2019s parents and friends association\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.apaesp.org.br\/Paginas\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">APAE-SP<\/a>\u00a0(<em>Associa\u00e7\u00e3o de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais<\/em>), via the <em>Nota Fiscal Paulista<\/em> app. Donations to Instituto Cesar Cielo and APAE-S\u00e3o Paulo are both optional and to be made upon payment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advantages<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Conventional meal orders can include a glass of Chandon, for BRL 25, plus a Chandon-branded glass as a gift. Wine e-shop Evino is giving BRL 60 off for Restaurant Week clients registering on its website and making their first purchase over BRL 200.
