It is the first time Egypt will be at the show, one of the greatest encounters of the food service industry in Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>At least 20 Egyptian companies will exhibit their products at the office\u2019s stand in the show, to occur from June 11 to 14 in S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil. \u201cThis is part of the plan of the Egyptian Commercial Office in Sao Paulo to target specific sector, one of which is foodstuffs, as Egypt is a producer and exporter of many foodstuffs like herbs and spices, fresh, chilled, dried, frozen fruits and vegetables, snacks, juices, dates, olives, and olive oil,\u201d the consul Mohamed Elkhatib, head of the office, told ANBA.<\/p>\n<p>The products brought are still not available in the Brazilian market, and the office intends to find distributors and representatives in Brazil for the companies. They range from dates to olives, olive oil, snacks, drinks and juices, herbs and spices, dried fruits and vegetables.<\/p>\n<p>According to the consul, several meetings are scheduled during the trade show with major Brazilian companies. \u201cThis participation has a specific importance as the <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/mercosur-egypt-trade-could-be-bigger-in-wake-of-agreement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">free trade agreement<\/a> between Egypt and Mercosur entered into force two years ago and this opens the door for many more trading opportunities,\u201d said Elkhatib.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out this is the third food show that the Egyptian office participates in this year.
