The rate fell in comparison to April (0.72%) but increased year-over-year (0.14%). According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, this is the greatest change in IPCA-15 for a month of May since 2016 (0.86%).<\/p>\n<p>Year-to-date, IPCA-15 is 2.27% and 4.93% in the 12 months through May, above 4.71% saw in the 12 previous months, reported IBGE.
